If
you would look to widen your touristic horizons, only 300
meters from Le Peonie you’ll find a bus
stop from which you can easily reach Rome,
Tarquinia and Viterbo, while
only 4 km away you have the possibility of taking a train
(the station of Cura di Vetralla) with which you can reach
the centre of Rome directly.
If you would like to fully immerse yourself in nature, just
a short distance away from Le Peonie you will find
the Vico, Bolsena and Bracciano
Lakes.
Or you can dedicate yourself to cultural
sightseeing:
- Vulci and its oasis-museum;
- the Tarquinia Etruscan Museum;
- the Palazzo Farnese at Caprarola;
- the renaissance garden of Villa Lante of Vignola;
- Ruspoli Palace at Vignanello;
- an abbey from the XIII century in San Martino.

Many are the traditional
appointments in which you can partecipate if you are here at
the right time:
September 3rd in Viterbo you can assist the
traditional carrying of the Macchina di Santa Rosa,
while in Vetralla in the same period is held
the Feast of the King Boletus Mushroom.
But there’s much more:
- in the period around Easter, you can listen to the concerts
that are held in the Saint Francis Church;
- May 8th is repeated the May Day Ceremony;
- in June, the Vetralla in Flower festival,
with the traditional placing of flowers in the window sills
and eating dinner in the cellars;
- at Christmas, a living nativity scene is
presented.
